If You Want to Make Money as a Blogger, Treat it Like a Job
If blogging is your very time-consuming hobby then this article is not for you, if you want to make money from it then you need to take it seriously. It’s a business or a job whatever you want to call it, it’s not a pastime or hobby.
I have two favourite bloggers, Sophia Lee and Nakisha Wyn. If you want to see true examples of serious and successful bloggers, watch their YouTube videos and read their blogs(links below).
This is it, if you want to make money as a blogger, you need to see it as a job or a business and take it seriously. I make a full-time income as a content writer running my own content writing company and we own several blogs and online magazines. Even with my side hustle blogs, I take them seriously, really seriously.
Now, I write content for three to four hours a day however, in the beginning, I was writing, editing, publishing and promoting for seven to eight hours per day with no days off.
4 am: Get up to pray
4:30 am: stretch, move and shower
5:30 am: Breakfast, sometimes it includes coffee
6:00am: Work until nine or ten
I work fewer hours now but I still have a set routine. If you work from home and you want to make full-time money as a blogger, create set hours, clock in and clock out just like you would do with a job. Take it seriously, the money will come.
